The gravity of the matter never stopped me from writing about an interesting incident. It so happened that a friend of mine is fascinated more with the beauty of bottles than with the drink itself.Elegant  bottles of various brands can be readily found displayed on his study table for years.  The engagement is so much that he doesn't mind exibiting the curious displays to every visitor and also relating the story behind its purchase.

Once, while strolling on MG Marg we found him running to every wine shop. Unlike Siliguri, wine shops are densely crowded and profoundly found in Gangtok. Every street or corner of Gangtok will have a wine shop. People do not consider it as a serious threat to their morality if they consume alcohol on a frequent basis. Chilling cold demands the consumption of drink for warm living.

Coming back to the story, we found that our friend has found his paradise in Gangtok.A couple of wine shops were distributed on the street .People clustered the shop waiting for their turn to come so that they can buy their favourite drink. My friend not understanding the existance of a waiting line rushed to the  shop where his eyes were glued to an antique bottle of a monk-face Old Monk. We asked him what was the matter? He replied in excitement ,"This is the old monk that I have been searching for days and look I have finally found it  ! ". We were happy for our friend. He then asked the shopkeeper for the price and the reply was that the bottle wasn't for sale ! My friend tried to bargain the shopkeeper into selling the bottle but the shopkeeper couldn't let go of the relic.

Disappointed, my friend left the shop. However, he assured us that someday he is going to get hold of that bottle. We searched every shop for monk-face Old Monk but unfortunately nobody had the respective bottle. We left the quest and started enjoying other amenities of MG Marg.Gangtok gifted us beautiful memories but this would remain a special memory in my mind.
